What is ARTBOURNE?

ARTBOURNE, based at Wellesley College in Days Bay, Wellington, is part of the independent school’s thriving arts programme and is a popular biennial art exhibition of contemporary artworks, jewellery & sculpture from nationally acclaimed and emerging artists.

In Year 1 (an even year), ARTBOURNE is a multi-artist curated exhibition; in Year 2 (an odd year) ARTBOURNE is an Artist in Residence programme – a month long artist residency which includes a Weekend Studio Workshop and  a Residency and Student Art Exhibition.  2019 is the ARTBOURNE Artist in Residence Programme and this runs August-September 2019.
